Hace días que no puedo escribir de lo que tengo que escribir.
Desde que me enteré de la muerte del hijo de una mujer con la que trabajé hace mucho tiempo.
El bebé tenía unos meses más que Layla, y estaba muy enfermo.
Cuando una amiga me dió la noticia, mi primera reacción instintiva fue “olvidarme”, borrar esa información de mi memoria inmediatamente.
Pero de vuelta a casa -venía de ense?ar una clase de Castellano, Layla se había quedado con David-, sentí la urgencia de meterme en ese sentimiento.
Era como un estornudo, como las ganas de hacer pis, como pujar. No lo podía parar.
Engendrar vida es engendrar muerte.
Caminé a casa casi en trance y traté de sentir el dolor innombrable: la muerte de mi hija.
Tuve miedo y náuseas. Lloré. Me dije que no podría soportarlo, me imaginé muriendo también.
No sé como hace una para despedirse de un hijo…No sé como hace una para despegarse de su cuerpito tibio…No sé como se vive para cuidar a los otros hijos.
No sé…
Estoy sintiendo el dolor de esa familia amputada.
Les deseo que puedan vivir el sufrimiento intensamente, con furia ciega, para sentir que un día vuelve la vida, de a poco. Aunque nada, nada nunca será igual.
Mi corazón está con ustedes.
